To answer the last question on the topic card, you need to state the reason(s) and if the information supports that reason(s). You should spend 1 minute on this answer and use the following Layout:

Brief Introduction: I ... for some reasons.

List 3 reasons with supporting information:

1. Firstly, I feel/find that...

2. By this, I mean...

3. Besides, I also consider that ...

4. simply because...

5. More importantly/Most importantly,/What matters most is that ...

6. This is due to the fact that...

In the above layout, items 1, 3, 5 are the reasons, items 2, 4, 6 are information to help clarify the reasons.

Example: Why do you want to eat in such a restaurant?

  • Suggest:
    • When entering a certain restaurant, we can evaluate this restaurant based on different factors (corresponding to our senses):

      • What you see: decoration style, atmosphere, hygiene condition

      • What you hear: background music

      • What you smell and taste: flavour of the food

      • What you feel: service, price, speed

      • What you comment: location, nutrition of the food served

    • You can choose 3 factors, such as flavour, atmosphere and service,

      • Flavour: tasty and flavourful thic an thơm ngon

      • Atmosphere: cozy and comfy cozy atmosphere and new voice

      • Service: hospitable staff is very hospitable

  • Reference answer:

    • List 3 reasons with supporting information:

      1. First: Firstly, the food there is really tasty and flavourful.

      Support information:

      - Objective information (general introduction + list): It provides authentic flavors of Italian food, and they have all sorts of pizza, like Hawaiian, Aussie, Roast Chicken & Potatoes, Vegetarian, and Meat Lovers.

      - Unobjective information: I am a big fan of pizza, and I always recommend my friends to enjoy it.

      2. Second: Besides, I also feel that the atmosphere is fairly cosy and comfy.

      Support information:

      - Objective information : The restaurant is spacious. We can have different options when choosing a seat, and it also leaves some privacy for talking; it is pretty customer-oriented.

      - Unobjective information: I have a fancy for peaceful places. Occasionally, I can do some reading before or after eating.

      3. Third: More importantly, I always find that the staff there are quite hospitable.

      Support information:

      - Objective information: They will give you reasonable advice and recom mendations if you are uncertain about what to order, which is very considerate, and a customer can feel very comfy in such an environment.

      - Unobjective information: I personally focus more on the positive attitude and good service, for if not, they might ruin the good mood for a great meal.

    • Other ideas when talking about restaurants:

      The decoration style is classy and upscale. (elegant and luxurious decoration style)

      The environment is hygienic and sanitary. (clean hygienic environment)

      The price is affordable, and I may get a discount with my student card. (reasonable price, discount when showing student card)

      The location is convenient, and it is easy to find a parking space. (convenient location, easy to find parking)

      The service is speedy; all orders can be served in 10 minutes. (Fast service)

      The food is rather nutritious with low calories and less oily/greasy. (quite nutritious dish with low calories and low fat)

 

  • Note: It takes about 20 seconds to present a reason with supporting information. Thus, answering the fourth question with 3 reasons and supporting information will take at least 1 minute. Time to answer the first 3 questions is 45 seconds. Such a time allocation would satisfy the requirements of Part 2.
