The second or third question on the test card is usually the question word what. To this question, you can answer in one of two ways: give an example or tell a story.

- You can narrate the story in the following order: the setting in which the story occurs, the course of the story, the point of the story, the end of the story. Use the following key words/phrases:
- At the very beginning ...
- After that/ Afterwards/ And then, ...
- During/ While ...
- Towards the end/ In the end/ Finally/ Eventually, ...
Where
With questions related to place, you can answer as follows:
This place is located/situated in ... (specify location)
This place is very handy; it is just on the ground floor/around the corner/on the opposite side of my neighborhood/in a shopping mall called Parkson Plaza. (describe that place in relation to another place)
It is only 5 minutes' walk/10 minutes' drive from ... (describe the place by travel time)
The place I want to travel to in the future is Las Vegas, which is a world-renowned gambling destination in the States. (use subordinate clauses to introduce geographical locations)
Who
Use the sentence pattern It is ... who ... to answer questions related to people. This is a sentence structure used to emphasize the object in question.
Who do you want to travel with?
Well, it is my boyfriend who I want to travel with since we have so many things in
common.
Who took this picture?
Well, it was my father who took this picture while I was riding a horse on the grassland.
When
Time-related questions are divided into two types: questions about things that happened in the past (When did you travel to this place?) and questions about things happening in the future (When do you want to travel to this place?).
When talking about something that happened in the past, you use the past tense:
I went to this place several months ago when I was having a holiday.
When talking about something that will happen in the future, you can use the present or future tense with modal verbs such as may, will, shall.
I plan to travel to the States this coming September. (it will happen at the scheduled time)
Well, I haven't decided my future timetable yet. Basically, after I graduate from university, I may/ will travel to the States. (the event will happen or not depends on a certain condition)
How often
If the number of times the action is taken is fixed, you can answer like this:
Normally, I often go shopping at Parkson Plaza during weekends. I go there once a month.
If the number of times the action is performed is not fixed, you answer as follows:
It depends. Whenever I need to buy some daily necessities, Ben Thanh market will be my priority. It depends. Whenever I am in the mood for pizza, Pizza Hut will be my first choice.
