The two line charts illustrate the enrolment of overseas and local students in Australian universities over the ten years period from 2001 to 2010. The First chart illustrates overseas students enrolment and second chart illustrate local students enrolments for the ten years period. Each chart has enrolment for the period along with cumulative no of student for the same period from 2001 to 2010.
Based on the overseas student enrolment chart, no of students enrolment to universities in Australia has increased significantly from 2001 to 2010. In 2001, total student enrolment was below 15,000 and in 2010, this number has increased to close to 40,000 students. This increase is close to 300% increase during the ten years period. At the same time, cumulative numbers of students has increased from 20,000 to over 80,000 from 2001 to 2010.
Based on the second graph, local no of students enrolment to Australian universities in 2001 is around 20,000. From 2001 to 2002, local student enrolment has increased from 20,000 to 23,000. However starting from 2002 on wards, there is slight decrease in no of students enrolment till 2007. Again, starting from 2007, local student enrolment has slightly increase above 20,000 from 2007 to 2010.

In summary, over the ten years period, overseas students enrolment has significantly increased when compared with local students enrolment.
