Writing task 1

A histogram above depicts air pollution levels in four countries that happened in 2021. The major sources of air pollution, based on the chart, are electricity generation, transport and industry. These three components are represented by blue, red and green bars.

According to the chart, China's industry and transportation play a significant role in this issue as compared to the generation of electricity. For example, the number of Chinese population is increasing as well as the number of motor vehicles. Furthermore, factories also emit toxic emissions. For example, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, methane and a lot more toxic substances. Same applies for America, where transportation plays a significant role in polluting the air. As is the case with China, the United States is a continent that has a larger area and a larger population.

In contrast, Japan and Australia both have a lower rate of air pollution which is remarkable. The bar chart in China is the same shape but Japan has half the amount of air pollution as China. The emissions of toxic substances from transportation and electricity generation in Japan are lower than the pollution generated by industry. Japan's people mostly do not own motor vehicles and prefer to walk wherever they go. It is a fair reason, given that even with all the measures taken to mitigate emissions, some will still be released into the air unknowingly. Consequently, industry has a major impact on air pollution in both Japan and Australia. Despite the high density of their populations, these two countries manage to control air pollution effectively. This can be proven by the chart above.

In short, awareness and law enforcement are imperative to controlling pollution rates in a country. Human activity makes the world sicker and sicker each day, yet we still get to live in it. As one begins to appreciate our mother nature, others will do the same.

Writing task 2

Smoking is not something taboo anymore in our society due to its widespread consumption by some people. It is inarguable that fume ingestion has a profusion of adverse effects on one's health. The prevalence of its use in today's society has become a corrosive influence on youth, which will instill this bad habit in future generations as well. It is a habit that most individuals still pick up, thinking it is normal to smoke cigarettes even when in a public place, such as at a restaurant.

There are many aspects that contribute to this issue becoming a big deal these days. According to a recent study, most people who smoke cigarettes regularly are addicted to nicotine, which is the substance found in cigarettes that gives them the so-called buzz of pleasure and energy. Nicotine can, however, only offer temporary relief, more akin to a placebo effect. It is interesting to observe how nicotine reacts to our bodies. Once it reaches the brain within seconds, the brain releases adrenaline, producing that feeling of relief. Moreover, many smokers inherit their habits from their parents, siblings, and peers. For example, a study revealed that most smokers get the tradition from their ancillary and the parental gene is also an element of their fate. Regardless of how much effort they put into it, the problem is always right under their nose. It is therefore up to the individual to decide whether to pick up the habit.

Taking drastic steps won't help you quit smoking immediately. So, in my opinion, one should consider non-nocotine medications. It is recommended that one seeks consultation with a doctor before taking this medication. Furthermore, with a strong will and alternative therapies, smokers can overcome their addiction to quit smoking little by little. For instance, they could smoke e-cigarettes as a smoking cessation tool. As smokers' lungs are very dependent on the substances they breathe in, acupuncture and especially yoga may improve their breathing. There are several suggestions being propagated out there, and it is up to individuals to set goals for quitting this bad habit by having strong determination.

In short, every problem has a silver lining. When someone begins to smoke, there will be a struggle and, therefore, it comes down to how one approaches dedication. Those who have a burning desire to stop smoking cigarettes, here is your call to quit.
