Writing task 1

The table displays how many calories are consumed from three basic foods (wheat, maize, rice) by the residents of four particular nations.

Overall, it is clear that a citizen from Columbia prefers to eat rice mostly as he gets the highest calories from it per day, whereas the Polish people and the Egyptians consumed most of the calories from wheat in a single day. Moreover, the highest portion of calories is provided from Maize to the Mexicans.

To commence with, rice is the only food on the table that provides the most calories to a person in a particular country, which is Cambodia, accounting for 1445 calories/day, whereas a resident from Poland gets only 19 calories/day. Moreover, the Polish people do not get any calories from Maize. Maize contributes the largest portion of calories, accounting for 1083 calories/day to a single person in Mexico.

On the other hand, each of the Mexican people and the Egyptians consume the least amount of calories from rice, numbered 57 calories/day and 501 calories/day respectively.

Some people believe that it is important to spend a lot of money on family celebrations. While others think it is a waste of money. Discuss both views.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

There are many times when a significant expenditure that goes on many family occasions. Many commentators are of the view that people should expend a vast amount of money on their family programs necessarily, whereas others believe that it is a total waste of money. This essay will discuss both sides of the argument and provide the overall opinion

There are those who feel that it is mandatory to expend a lot of money on family celebrations. Nowadays, people tend to be very busy in their life and they get hardly the opportunity to keep entertained themselves. Therefore, it is believed by many that spending money on a large scale on family celebrations is essential so that they can get enough refreshments. For instance, a corporate job holder needs to do hard work for the betterment of his career. If he wants to relieve himself from the busy situation, he must arrange a big family occasion where he needs to spend money. As a matter of the fact, people should spend money on such family programs, but they should economize as much as they can.

Conversely, many individuals think that spending money on family celebrations is not a value for money. There are many other significant factors where the money should be expended. It is believed by many that too much money spent on family celebrations is a complete waste of money. Moreover, this money should be spent on essential spheres that are necessary to develop the career. To illustrate, a student must be productive in order to improve their career. Indeed, they should not waste money on any family programs.

To conclude, people must expend a good amount of money on family festivals in order to get relaxation

from their busy schedules, although some people believe that spending money on that is a complete waste of money.
