Writing Task 1

According to the given chart and table, the first thing worth mentioning is that most of the tourists at the particular holiday resort in Australia come from Asian countries, with a percentage of 37 % of all tourists. But, we can also notice that there is a very small variance of 2% between asian tourists and the europian one. Furthermore, the last categorie of toursts is the one, which stay the longest at this resort, with the average length being 16 days compared with the average 7-day stay of the asian tourists, whose duration of their holidays is the shortest. It seems though that tourists from europe as also tourists from other regions not mentioned here prefer staying in camping or caravan, in contrast with the asian and american tourists, whose popular accomondations seems to be 5 and 4-star hotels, respectively. Lastly, we can notice that tourists from different countries, have also different activities. In particular, while asian and american tourists prefer sightseeing, the european one mostly go for swimming or sunbathing and people from other countries favor surfing.

Task 2

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

More and more people are becoming seriously overweight. Some people suggest that the solution to this problem is to increase the price of  fattening foods. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

You should write at least 250 words.

Last years, it is well known that the amount of overweight people is increasingly growing. As a solution to this, has been suggested to increase the price of foods that mostly cause fattening, as it is also known that this kind of food is usually cheaper and more attractive, compared to the organic food, fruits, vegetables and quality-meat. This way, however, it seems that this problem could temporarily and superficially be solved. In particular, not only wealthy people will continue buying these products but also it is almost certain that people who are not that rich will spent money for fatting foods because they will prefer byuing these instead of byuing healthy ones, which will have approximately the same price.

In my opinion, governments have to find another way so as to convince people to care more about their health and bodies and make them prefer eating foods that do not cause fattening. This can happen if they are fully informed about the negative concequences that overweighting has in their lifes, their everyday routine and their health. As this is something that has to do the most with education, I think the most effective way is some relevant courses to be included in schools, which can teach kids from the early age about healthy habits and healthy way of living. In addition, older people could also be informed about the meaning of healthy life by campaigns and public speeches with instructions and relevant medical advice. All these can be organised by goverments in corporation fitness intructors, doctors and nutritional advisors.

In conclusion, by rising the prices of fatting foods the intended results will never come in a permanent way. To the contrary of this, I believe that goverment should inform people about overweight and its' negative consequences and how they can adopt o healthy way of living.
