While many people go to university for academic study, more people should be encouraged to do vocational training because there is a lack of qualified workers such as electricians and plumbers. Do you agree or disagree?
You should write at least 250 words.
There is no doubt, for several centuries, education has played a prominent role in human life. The question is, what people should acquire for their education? higher education or vocational training? In this essay, I am going to discuss both views and draw my own conclusion.
In terms of some views, people should mainly study at universities and attain at least a bachelor's degree. The main reason given to support this claim is that educational institutions had the most significant influence on the student's life. To illustrate, in college students are learning the basic rules and procedures to perform and solve tasks. In other words, it provides fresh high school students with the knowledge and information that every person needs for their career. Making such teachings is proven to be more effective and correct by universities and colleges.
However, others strongly believe that vocational training is a more effective method for companies and organizations. Firstly, most colleges cannot consistently provide the correct practical knowledge and experience that students need. In other words, universities teach the theories, but not how to apply them in real-life situations. Secondly, the communities need a segment of people with skills such as plumbers and technicians. This is why vocational training comes in place to rebalance society and provide a stable surrounding for employers.
In conclusion, although universities bear significant responsibility for shaping the educational identity of students, training plays a vital role. Therefore, I believe that qualified workers with skills should be increased in our community.
