Too much monet has been spent looking after and repairing old buildings, so should we knock down old buildings and build mordern ones instead ? That the problem of today. For me, I agree with it, why we need to repair the old things while can build a new mordern thing ?
The population are increasing day by day, the small old building can't contain many peoples, a brand-new mordern buildings can solve the population problem. The skyscraper can be really useful in that situation, the more peoples go, the higher the skyscraper does.
The old building can cause death, affect to our safety. Low quality building which aren't maintained can be a seriously danger to people. Just imagine you are living in a old building when suddenly the ceiling collapse. Will be someone wonder : that's the reason why we need to repair it . Like I said before, why we need to repair the old things while can build a new mordern things ? Such a waste for repair the old building, the new mordern building is a economically choice ! It can be home for much many peoples, while the old buildings usually small and low quality. It can solve the global issue : population.
Build new mordern buildings are the future, it's mordern thinking. From developing country to developed country, all head to a new mordern buildings. An example is Hanoi in Vietnam (a developing country) are mostly replace all the old buildings with a new one, many tall mordern building can be found everywhere in Hanoi. Another example is Beijing in China ( a developed country ) is also build a lot of skyscrapers, tall mordern buildings to solve the population problem. Not only in Vietnam and China, every country in the world are developing to head to the future.
Nowadays, people looking for the mordern and contemporary. But in another hand, the old building still need for poor peoles who couldn't afford for a fancy mordern building. It's maybe old and unclean, some maybe have bad quality of wall or ceiling, it's still a home for many people.
Too much money has been spent looking after and repairing old buildings, so should we knock down old buildings and build modern ones instead? In my opinion, yes of course !
