While many people go to university for academic study, more people should be encouraged to do vocational training because there is a lack of qualified workers such as electricians and plumbers. Do you agree or disagree?
You should write at least 250 words.
Most persons attend higher institution to acquire academic knowledge whereas more humans ought to be adviced to take up skillful training. I concur with this statement because due to reduced number of capable workers there has been an up rise of unemployment and increased financial unstability.
To begin with, unemployment is on a high side due to lack of competent hands on vocational trade. Most student after school can not find a credible job that pays well and neither do they have good skills to make a living from for example most student find it difficult to get a good job in good establishment simply because they do not know anyone that works there and some because they do not have the kind of experience the establishment is requiring, which ends up making them jobless.
Furthermore, as a result of the lack of good handicrafts most individuals end up with little or no cash to carry out activities of daily living and this affects the society at large because for most youths they will readily look for ways to make quick money rather than learn a valuable skill to carry them through life, for instance a young boy would willingly join a clique of boys who prefer to make quick money from stealing than to work hard for it.
In conclusion, a large number of people go to university to gain academic knowledge although many should be persuaded to pick up and learn vocational skills which will aid in financial stability and bring about the end of unemployment.
