It was last summer when I travelled to Yunnan with my friends. Basically, we hired a small van and a driver who was familiar with the local traffic. It was going well at first. Everything was under control. Then, we bumped into a traffic jam. A car stopped working on our way from a small village in the suburbs of Dali to the town center and we got stuck. At the beginning, we thought it was caused by the over-heated engine and the police would come and tackle this mess-up. So we waited for a while. However, as time went on, more and more cars were queuing at back. All of us felt really frustrated, worrying if we could reach the next tourist attraction on time.

Then, the driver called the service and asked for another van which would take about an hour to 'rescue' us. While waiting, I felt a bit bored and decided to take a walk out of the car. Surprisingly, we stopped at a point where we could have a bird's view of the valley and the village in it. Even now I can remember how marvelous the view was. The valley was so quiet and tranquil that all I could hear would be bird's twittering. Also, what impressed me was the cool fresh air mixed with the fragrance of flowers.

After about one hour, the new van came and somehow, I didn't worry that much about if we could go to the next place on time. I started to realize sometimes, we just rush to the next destination or the next goal and totally ignore what we could have during the journey. The experience did drag us a bit behind the schedule but gave me a chance to take a break and enjoy the local place more.

I'd like to describe a time when I was stuck in a traffic jam. It was on my 18th birthday when I had to wait a long time for entering the parking lot in Suning Plaza, where I booked a table in the Haidilao hotpot restaurant in this department store.

To put it in a nutshell, I'd like to explain how you felt in the traffic jam. First things first, it'd been an amazing and exceptional service, so I would recommend to people with the aim of celebrating for a special occasion. By way of example, I had received a free birthday cake with berries like strawberries and blueberries on the top. To be more specific, it'd been a chocolate cake, creamy and spongy, which made my mouth water. On top of that, eating hotpot had been a great bonding activity, so me and friends truly had a whale of time, sharing fond memories. Above all else, food had been incredible, with a range of broth and fresh ingredients, which had been appetizing and mouth-watering.
