As the graph shows, a water filter assembly mainly consists of two parts: one part is a plastic barrel with three different filter layers, which function to filter unclean water, and the other one is a storage drum for storing the filtered clean water, and there is a pipe connected between two parts.
When purifying contaminated water, the process begins by pouring the unclean water into a plastic barrel. Within the barrel, the water passes through three distinct filter layers composed of sand, charcoal, and gravel. As the water moves through these layers, impurities are gradually removed. Ultimately, the once unclean water transforms into clean water, which collects at the bottom of the plastic barrel. Next, the collected water at the bottom of the barrel is transferred into the storage drum through a long pipe. To ensure this transfer is successful, the bottom of the plastic barrel must be positioned above the storage drum. Once the clean water flows into the storage drum, we can obtain drinking water from it.
