Kids nowadays are emphasized to be competitive in order for them to survive in their upcoming years of life. However, the society opined that it is more vital for parents to build their child's characteristics to be compatible with others for them to be impactful to their environment. I will explain both of these angles, equipped with my personal outlooks.
As we know, the population on earth is rocketing significantly and In order to succeed, individuals are required to have ambitions and fight for their positions with others. Shaping kids to be competitive is a great chioce as it helps them to always strive for the best. Schools and parents have been growing this characteristic in their adolescents by doing such activities, for instance, joining competitions or playing a racing game. The benefits of this could be seen when these kids grow up and started their career, or even earlier, for instance when they are enrolling to a top university.
On the other hand, it is also important to grow a sense of cooperation in kids. Humans are social creatures who must live with others, therefore socializing skills are required to have by children. Not only to live but also to be able to spread positive impacts to their surroundings. One of my juniors in high school is an extrovert who was super sociable. She loves lending a hand to others who needed help and easily adjust herself to her surroundings. Currently, she has a huge connection and are about to establish a charity organization with people who have different backgrounds.
In conclusion, encouraging adolescents to be ambitious is essential for their lives, However, I belive that parents should also taught their kids to cooperate and help other people.
