[Janet S] 雅思写作真题 969987
Task 1
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You have a full-time job and you are also doing a part-time evening course.
You now find that you cannot continue the course.
Write a letter to your teachers. In your letter
describe the situation
explain why you cannot continue at this time
say what action you would like to take
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear ................. ,
There are three main things to consider before writing your essay:
1. Tone (formal or informal)
Sometimes students are friendly with their tutors, but I think it would be better to write a formal letter. Start with your tutor’s surname (e.g. Dear Mr. Smith,) and end with “Yours sincerely,”. Avoid contractions (write “I am” instead of “I’m”), and avoid using informal idioms or expressions. Be polite rather than friendly.
2. Purpose
The main purpose of this letter is to inform your tutor that you are leaving the course. Make this clear straight away (e.g. I am writing to inform you that...). Then cover the three points, writing a short paragraph for each.
3. Ideas
I recommend spending a few minutes planning ideas for each of the task points before you start writing. You need to decide what the evening course is about, what your full-time job is, a reason why you are too busy with work to continue with the course, and whether you want to leave completely or perhaps continue at a later date.
You should write at least 150 words.

Dear Mr.Fernando,
I am a student from your Spanish class on Wednesday evenings. I am writing this letter to inform you that I need to drop out from the class. I understand this may cause some troubles to the team arrangement in the class, but it was a very tough decision to make. Please allow me to elaborate on this.
I am working as a full-time software engineer in London. Recently, my team is relocated to Dublin, so my manager asked all of us to move there by the end of May. As much as I love the life in London, my career is way more important at the moment. Therefore, I have decided to move to Dublin.
I realize it can be hard for my teammate, Kelly, to do all the assignments on her own. Luckily, my friend John is also learning Spanish and is keen to join a formal class. I believe he will be able to catch up the progress in our class, so I am wondering if it is possible to let him replace my seat in the class ?
Once again, I am very sorry that I need to leave the class. Please let me know if you need any detail about him.
Sincerely yours,
Dan
Task 2
You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.
Write about the following topic:
Nowadays we are producing more and more rubbish.
Why do you think this is happening?
What can governments do to help reduce the amount of rubbish produced?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
You should write at least 250 words.

For the past few decades, more and more trash has been produced as the human civilization advances. It is believed that the consumerism plays an important role in this situation. Although it is hard to change people's habits in purchasing, governments can promote recycling to mitigate the problem.
The consumerism advocates the philosophy of purchasing whatever we like, which encourages us to buy as many as we want and dump them as soon as they are out of trend. The fast fashion in clothing has examplified this phenomenon. A lot of brands nowadays tend to produce stylish clothings with poor quality that only last for a few months, incentivizing consumers to throw them away as they will be worn out quickly. A lot of rubbish is therefore produced, especially at the end of seasons.
It is hard to dissuade individuals from buying insanely. Hence, some authoritive interventions are considered necessary. One way governments can do to slow down the trend is to encourage recycling. One man's trash can be another man's treasure. In 2019, Taiwanese governement started a program to ask people to recycle their clothes and donated to those who could not afford them. This not only helped us reduce the trash, but also helped the poor make it through winters.
In conclusion, many rubbish is generated due to the fact that people always crave for new and unsustainable products. If governments promote or enforce recycling policies on the society, we can potentially reduce the waste and utilize the resource more efficiently.
