Some people think that we should divide students based on their academic ability, while others think we should educate all students together. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

You should write at least 250 words.

People have long argued whether students with similar academic abilities should be taught inclusively or should join students of various levels. The former specifies the created effectiveness; for example, the class does not have to slow down for a student that requires more time to catch up with others. While the latter focuses on a well-rounded learning environment. This school of thought prioritizes learning in a real-world setting, which means students should adapt to the world with all kinds of learners.

Speaking as a teacher, the former argument echos more truth. A class with students of different levels can waste a lot of time. As mentioned, the class members must pace down, which may create more chaos than boredom. Students who work fast have plenty of time to chitchat or devise many means to interrupt the class. Meanwhile, it creates a lot of pressure for students who struggle to level up. A discouraged student may stop trying when the discrepancy between students is too big.

A classroom that simulates the real world carries good intentions, however, does not utilize resources best. To begin with, a teacher should design the teaching towards the needs of the students. If the needs are on the same face, the teaching, heretically speaking, run more smoothly. Furthermore, a classroom with a natural configuration also makes it difficult when choose suitable materials. A middle-level material might be the best choice for this setting, despite being at the expense of students. Higher-level students lose chances to learn deeper and lower-level ones have a shorter time to learn.

In summary, the effectiveness versus the real-world learning experience is at the core when deciding how to group learners with various abilities. Grouping learners with similar abilities utilizes resources such as teachers and materials better. In the meantime, a classroom with students that possess the same level of abilities also ensures more order and encourages more learning motivations.
