Task 1

The diagrams below show how houses can be protected in areas which are prone to flooding.

Write a report for a university, lecturer describing the information shown below.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

You should write at least 150 words.

Writing task 1

There are shown two pictures regarding to how flooding can be prevented,how to protect the building and what if we neglect this damage.

Foremost, the first image from which it can be conceived that thing called stopbank can diminish the damage from flooding.This entire thing stops the flooding made by a 100-year flood level.This stopbank consists from three main parts: floodgate,berm, and a freeboard, respectively. All these parts help to prevent the large flooding.However this mechanism, here is internal ponding exsists.All this ponding is going from the internal runoffs.

Secondly,here is another picture where it is depicted the situation without the stopbank.Chiefly in the second picture there are big amount of water and its approximate height is 300 mm.

For a conclusion, it can be said that this simple stopbank helps to reduce harm productively, however in the second diagram there are some level of water exsists, but how it is shown in results it is much more better to keep such thing as stopbank.

Write about the following topic.

Some people think that we should divide students based on their academic ability, while others think we should educate all students together. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

You should write at least 250 words.

There is one theme discussed about the separating the students in whatever educational institutions according to their cognitive abilities and their own skills.One group is positive to this division and another one is not.

First of all, I and also plenty of people are keeping of think that students really need to be divided to groups of skills, otherwise the group in which there are surrounded pupils with different levels of skills will be allways stoped by several students.I have experienced such education in my own class in which were just a minute percent of clever students and tremendous number of trivial students with the same thinks regarding to the education and besides it with a lot of prejudices collected from their strange parents.The education in such groups is very slow and furthermore the lessons that are taught there are repetative and boring.

Moving to the ideas of second group, it can be understood that some certain people are quite negative to this separation.Their main reason is that pupils should communicate to each other and help each other with education and chiefly keep in touch with students that are also in your class.I do not judge them for this, contrastrly I comprehend what they really mean by this sayings, but this method of studying is less effective than the first one.

To a summary, I can infer that both of these way of education are nice,but if I would choose between them it would be the first idea one hundred percent, because of it comfortableness and efficiency.
