Someone has said that, like smoking, mobile phones should be banned in some places due to their harmful effects. In my perspective, the advantages of mobilephone outweighs the disadvantages, hence it shouldn't be prohibited.
On the one hand, the use of mobile phones can sometimes be antisocial. To begin with, these devices might prevent people from working properly in some situations. For instance, the sound of a mobile phone can interrupt a lecture, which affects the concentration of students. Next, the use of mobile phones also negatively influence on the communication between people. The face that people spend too much time using mobile phones can result in the lack of communication with others.
On the other hand, mobile phones should be banned due to their enormous benefits . Firstly, mobile phones keep people in touch. For example, students who studying abroad can contact their family members by using mobile phones to make video calls or send messages. Secondly, mobile phones can provide users with many useful applications to help life easier such as map, weather forecast, calculators... Moreover, mobile phones can help people entertain themselves. After a day of hard work, having fun with some mobile game in a reasonable amount of time can relieve stress and even strengthen our brain's function.
In conclusion, despite some negative influences, mobile phones are still not as harmful as smoking. As a consequence, i strongly believe that we shouldn't ban the use of mobile phones.
