The given map illustrates the changes in landscape space usage that occured in Chorleywood village since 1868.

Overall, there are significant enhancements in the road plans, and the expansion of populated areas is obvious.

Firstly, from 1868 to 1883, the people of Chorleywood gathered in a relatively small space, about 5% of the current town area, on the cross of the main roads. In 1909, a railway was established and the citizens of Chorleywood started to exploit the area around the railway station as they expanded along the rails.

The population taking over more space in the following years was steadly increasing, until the 1970's, where a big explosion in the usage of the landscape happened just after the MotorWay was installed. The old town remained in the center of the newly exploited space, and, between the old main roads, the railway line and the most recent MotorWay.

Nowadays, the usage of mobile phones is becoming more intense than ever, people, unlike in the past, use their phones for both work and pleisure. Some people are considering the usage of mobiles in public an antisocial behavior just like smoking and therfore it should be banned. While I think that smoking is a matter of public health not just an antisocial behavior, I believe that mobiles can be distracting in some situations and for that they should not be allowed in some specific areas.

On one hand, people may point out the increasing importance of mobile phones in our everyday life, it is even essential for some jobs like brokers and news reporters who need their phones 24/7. Nowadays people install every type of applications on their mobiles to help them with their tasks. Alarm Clock, Budget Helper, Electronic Schedule, Health Application and tonnes of other programs are used every day by billions around the globe to help them with everyday chores.

On the other hand, phones can be quite distaracting in some places like schools, hospitals, temples and while driving, there are even laws to be considered in that matter. For example, when using the mobile while driving, the driver should pay a penalty fee. Also, in social gatherings mobile phones' usage have to be minimised. For instance, there is a trend now in many restaurants where they take the phones from their clients to ensure they enjoy their meal or the whole experience.

In conclusion, eventhough phones are essential assets in our lifes, there are some situations were they should be banned and rules about that should be respected.
