The diagrams below show the existing ground floor plan of a house and a proposed plan for some building work.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
You should write at least 150 words.
Given above are two diagrams depicting the existing as well as proposed plan for the ground floor. The structures that are not changed include the entrance doors and the livings room. The new plan proposes to add furniture in the kitchen. A minor change has been suggested in the internal wall facing the kitchen such that, the internal doors both face the same direction, as opposed to earlier, when each door opened separately into the kitchen and the living room, respectively.
One of the bigger changes in the blueprint include the entire removal of the wall dividing the living room and the hall, leading to a significant increase in the space of living room. Another noteworthy difference is the subtraction of the storage space under the staircase. Instead, the stairs occupy a larger space with a somewhat semi circular shape.
The doors in the new blueprint, connect the kitchen and the living room directly, as the hall no longer exists. Inevitably, the entrance door that earlier led to the hall now leads to the living room. To conclude , a furnished kitchen, larger living room and a direct connectivity between the two are the selling points offered by the new plan.

It is common to encounter a clash of belief on whether to educate a child at school or at home. While most people send their children to schools, it is not uncommon to come across a family home schooling their kids. Both the modalities of teaching has its pros and cons, but I personally believe in sending a child to school in order to educate them.
There are certain advantages of teaching a child at home, the very first being, a comfortable environment for the child. People believe that the ability of the mind to grab what is being taught increases when the body is in a familiar place. This also becomes important in the setting of psychotic children, especially those suffering from autism or social anxiety disorder. Such children are bound to learn better in a homely environment.
Coming to the benefits of sending a child to school, it is of paramount importance to mention the influence of peers. Study has often proven that a competitive environment helps a lot of bright minds to flourish. The school also has more to offer in terms of infrastructure and therefore has an upper hand. It presents a wide variety of options to students who can choose and learn a subject or skill of their choice.
Due to the pandemic compelling every student to study from home, a lot of issues have surfaced. My sister, for instance, had to stay at home for the entire duration of her fresher year in college. It significantly affected her score as well as her mental well-being. It also limited the extra curricular activities, which she would have otherwise indulged in. Hence, I strongly recommend that every child should be sent to school and allowed to choose from the myriad courses being offered there.
