Well, there're quite a lot of things that are a big yawn to me, such as the daily commute, waiting in a long queue, watching unskippable TV adverts and things like that. What bores the most, though, would be attending unnecessary meetings, because that's where I can't use the phone to kill time and I have to pretend to be attentive.

Well, in most cases, when I feel bored, I'd go online to see what's been trending or binge watch some TV dramas to kill time. Sometimes when I feel I've got nothing to do, I'd also like to declutter my room, which is a pretty good way to idle away the time.

What was the most boring thing you did when you were young?

I remember when I was in primary school, we were asked to copy out the articles on the textbook as a kind of homework for the winter or summer vacation. And I should say that was by far the most soul-destroying thing that I did because it was terribly mechanical and awfully time-consuming, which never failed to drive me mad with boredom.

Do you think school is boring?

Sample answer:

Well, I wouldn't say so. I mean, it's true that students may have countless classes to attend, endless exams to sit and a mountain of homework to do, which is repetitive and monotonous, but there're also quite a lot of extra- curriculum activities available and accessible for students to have fun, pass the time and relieve their boredom.
