Writing Task 1

Dear Ahmed,

I am writing with regard to reallocating to our headquarter in Australis for six months.

As you may know, I have been working for our department for about four years. However, my daughter has applied for an English course at the University of Australia and moving there is a must because of her studies. Only when I get your approval, will I be able to join my daughter there. To be honest, it means a lot to my daughter to be with her.

As for my current commitments, I will handle it remotely while I am working at my office there. I promise to meet all my deadlines as if I am here among the team members.

I was wondering if it could be feasible to approve it so I can arrange the tickets and the accommodations for my family.

Thank you in advance for considering this matter. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Haitham Ismail

Task 2

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Some businesses find that their new employees lack basic interpersonal skills such as cooperative skills. What are the causes? Suggest possible solutions.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience

You should write at least 250 words.

It is found that some employers have new employees don't have the required soft abilities, like teamwork skills and presentation skills. This trend is due to the absence of proper human resources (HR) and academic assessment; besides, Law hiring budget for companies. However, there are some measures to be taken in so that these problems can be tackled, such as training of the new employees and increasing the hiring budget.

Primarily, the hiring process does not assess the prospect employee for skills like cooperative skills. Human resources would rather focus on technical skills than assess these types of abilities. Consequently, they might have a strong technical candidate; however, his other abilities are not tested. Moreover, Companies prefer cheaper working hand hiring. In fact, had they raised the budget allocated for the new joiners, they, for sure, would have acquired better talents.

However, Businesses can invest in the training of their fellow employees. As a result, their working team could handle work related problems more efficiently, which will increase the company profit. For instance, It is said that the more companies spend on training and development of its own employees, the more loyal and efficient the work will be. Moreover, human resources should test the soft skills abilities before hiring. Were the candidates properly assessed, businesses would acquire those talents.

In short, only when companies train their new employees on the basic interpersonal skills and give more budget for new joiners so that they acquire better talents, will the working crews have skills required to do the job.
