Writing Task 1

Dear Manager,

My name is Vik and I am your colleague. I am working in the I.T. department of our company. As you know I am working on an application design project for our Amazon client, I had a meeting with them yesterday where they want one of us to stay with them until the final stages of the project. I am excited to present my name for this opportunity.

I have held the project manager for this particular work and I am the one who has enough knowledge to make sure that our partner understands it well. Our head office which is in India is 2 hours away from the project site, so, it would be great if I could stay there for around 6 months. Also, I can finish all my work online by staying there.

I would really appreciate it if you can have a word about it with our CEO and can make all the arrangements like accommodation and a place to work in the office.

Thank you

Some businesses find that their new employees lack basic interpersonal skills such as cooperative skills. What are the causes? Suggest possible solutions.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience

You should write at least 250 words.

Hiring new employees in a company is quite a difficult procedure for the hr departments as the businesses have discovered it to be hard to choose from the young and old employees. However, Some businesses find that their new workers lack basic interpersonal skills such as cooperative skills. There are different reasons for it and the solution can be restructuring the education system. I am going to have a brief discussion on the above statement in the upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, students are not taught about the languages as the professionals believe it has no role to play in the fields of engineers, chemists, doctors, etc. Therefore, the young ones have a lack of communication skills. Also, in-class discussions where both teachers and learners can interact is being ignored and the focus of schools is to tend academic progress of the juveniles. Moreover, students do not involve in teamwork projects and they believe everything can be achieved by cramping. Because of the absence of teamwork activities, they lack cooperative skills, and thus, while their jobs they expect everything to flow by them.

This can be changed by reframing our education system. Language courses should be made compulsory and the teaching methods should also be changed. For example, the addition of tutorials, videos should be added to the syllabus to learn. Moreover, speaking sessions should also be a part of the classrooms. Young learners should be given teamwork tasks to make them ready for the workplace.

To conclude, learning should be made simple with the full interaction of teachers and students.
