The bar chart illustrates the number of vehicles owned per thousand people in China between the years 1987 and 1999.
Overall, vehicle ownership experienced an upward trend during the given period. In addition, the growth happened slightly at the beginning of the period, while it showed a considerable increase at the end of it.
In 1987 the vehicles owned were less than 500 per thousand people which was the lowest number throughout the years. After that, the number started to increase relatively to reach about 500 vehicles in 1989. Then, a gradual increase took a place between the years 1991 and 1993, and the number almost doubled and reached around 1000 vehicles at the end of it.
Next, the number started to surge significantly and it doubled again in 1995 and hit 2000 vehicles approximately. In 1997 the number of vehicles owned grew by almost 1000 vehicles. Write about the following topic.
Rich countries should allow jobs for skilled and knowledgeable employees who are from poor countries. Do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
You should write at least 250 words.
It would be argued that individuals who live in less fortunate countries should be given the opportunity to use their experiences and work in wealthier countries. I completely agree and think that this will result in many advantages to both countries.
Firstly, poor countries do not have enough work opportunities that population need, which leads to more unemployed people each year. Thus, the number of people in need will increase, which maximizes the poverty problem. For instance, in Jordan the unemployment rate is very high, because the country lacks of many resources, and the number of projects, companies, or organizations are not enough to cover the needs. This is why I believe that employees who have good skills and knowledge should be able to work in other countries that could give them a better future.
Secondly, if employees who are from the needy countries work in the richer ones, they will learn so much from them and they will be given so many good ideas that could benefit their own countries. In other words, after years of working in the wealthy country, the quality of life for people will enhance, thus they will give back to their country. For example, in Jordan, there are many people who traveled abroad and they came back as business men who opened many great projects that influence the economic aspect of Jordan nowadays. Subsequently, poor countries should motivate people to travel and get back to improve and make positive impacts to their original place.
To conclude, I think that skilled employees from poor countries should be allowed to work in rich ones as it will provide them with a better future and it has many good consequences that will have a return to their original countries.
