Car owners are increasing quickly these days. This is due to the fact that there are many places that are harder to get with public transport and the symbolizing of the car as a wealth remark in our society. In this essay, I will touch upon the different effects and problems that could rise from our over-reliance on cars and suggest some solutions to this phenomenon.
Since its creation, the car was a evidence of richness and wellfare and even more, our modern society values materialisim than other thing. This could lead car buyers to keep seeking modern cars even if they had the last advanced and futuristic one which in return leads to huge demand on car manifacturing and the high consumption of precious earth resources. In addition, this rise of cars in our streets results in more carbon dioxid emissions which are so harmful to the atmosphere. According to the World Health Organization, climate change is one of threating us and the transportaion sector, specifically cars, contributes to 15% of the pollution the drives it. Morover, with the increase of reliance on cars, many puplic transport services are operating at loss which may lead them to vanish.
There are a couple of solution that could help eliveate the effects resulting from this phenomenon. One such solution, it for governoments to encourage people to use public transport by offering them deals and reduced subscription fees. In addition, the governoments should increase the rates of taxes of owning a car inside denslly populared cities which have a well established infrastucture of public transport. Another solution might be the help of adopting electrical cars that runs on renewable energies to reduce the carbon footprint of transportation.
In a nutshell, although cars had always been of ouor best invetions as a human species, their popularity in our nations affects everyone on the planet. It is our duty to seek new methodlogies to have a better transportation.
