Writing task 2

Our brain can only comprehend selected wavelengths of light and those wavelengths are what we call colors. But scientifically colors are all in our heads. Colors do have a unique effect on us. Certain colors can make us feel calm and some can make us feel overwhelmed. On the visible spectrum, a human eye can see the shortest wavelength of 380 nm which is the color violet and the longest wavelength of 700 nm which is of the color red. Lower wavelengths than violet are called Ultra Violet and greater wavelengths than red are called Infra Red. These different wavelengths do have a different effect on our eyes and brain.

The color that falls on the shorter side on the spectrum are considered to be cooler and longer wavelengths are percieved as hotter. Colder colors help us to be calm are easily percieved by our eyes ultimatly calming the mind. Like in hospitals mostly the walls are sky bluish color that makes the patients feel calm and relaxed. On the other hand in bars and discos darker color lights are used to make us feel energized and ready to dance that don't make us feel relaxed.

Also in my own office our walls are of green and blue color that calm our mind and help us to do our work easily and improving our focus.

So Ultimatly I do believe that color can greatly influence people's health and their capacity to work, as some can greatly help us in relaxing and focusing on tasks at hand.
