The table below gives information about the underground railway systems in six cities.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Writing task 1

The table explains data about subway train systems in six different countries from the time they were opened,in which cities the train operates, length of the route and number of passengers per year in millions.

Overall, London underground railways system was the oldest with the longest route compare to Los Angeles which is the youngest of all the train systems and had shorter length of route and few passenger.Whereas,Kyoto had shortest length of route and the minimum number of travellers.

To start with, London underground railways was opened in 1863 with 394 Km and serving 775 million passengers yearly compared to Los Angeles which was the youngest subway rail opened in 2001 with 28 km length and had 50 million passengers per year.The Paris underground railways system was opened in 1900 with 199KM length and served 1191 million passengers annually.Tokyo railways was among the oldest railways system opened in 1927 with 155 Km length route and 1927 million passenger per year which was highest number of passengers travelled with train among all the railways systems.

In constrast,Washington DC railways system was opened in 1976 with 126 Km length and served 144 million passengers yearly. While Kyoto was opened in 1981 with 11Km length of rails making it the shortest railways among all other systems and had the fewest number of travellers at 45 million passengers per year.

Write about the following topic:

Some people think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged. Others believe that children who are taught to co-operate rather than compete become more useful adults.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Writing task 2

People have contrasting views about teaching children to be competitive or co-operative to be useful in adulthood.While some people think that children should be inspired to learn competition so that they develop life skills that helps in resilience and perservance which are vital in adulthood,I believe that children should learn to co-operate instead of competing to understand value of humanity,workplace dynamics through development pf social skills such as interpersonal skill,compassion and empath whic are important in their adulthood.

First and foremost,chidren should learn about healthy competition to develop resilience and perservance which are essential human development.Owing to the fact that,children who are taught how to compete at tender age develop life skills that helps them to survive in harsh timeand develop resilience.In additon ,children who learn competition at early life develop perservance and also are always willing to get out of comfort zone to get what they want which is vital in their adulthood.For instance,children who are taught to achieve in the favourite sport develop skills and learn to solve problems by passing all the abstacles in their life.Hence,teaching children healthy competition is essential in building life skills and helping them to learn move out of comfort zone in adulthood.

On the other hand,children should be taught about co-operation which helps them have fun in childhood and learn importance of teamwork and also other social skills development.This is because,children will learn how to work and play with other children at school thus having fun and interact which helps them develop interpersonal skills essential in adult life.Moreover,teaching children how to co-operate will enable them to learn vital social skills like being empath and sharing what they have or even ask for help thus making them kind and compassion in future.In particular,children who learn sharing of items including food at home from their parents will always be ready to help other children at school who needs help thus developing the same kindness in their adulthood. Therefore,children should be inspired to learn about co-operation to help them develop social skills that are fundamental to team dynamic at workplace in fututre.

In summary,people have contrasting views about teaching children children on competition or co-operation to help them in their aduldhood.Some people believe that learning about competition is essential to children development helping them build life skills such as resilience and perservance that will help them achieve their goals.However,children should learn about co-operation from tender age to have fun and also develop social skills which will help them interact with others and understand other peoples feelings.
