The chart describes the proportion of male and female population acrosss various age groups in France and India. The year under consideration is 1984.
Firstly, let us consider India. From the chart, it is very evident that majority (14%) of population constitutes children under five and this trend gradually decreases with increase in age group. The minority (2%) of. Also, one interesting fact is that, across all age groups population of both genders are almost equal.
On the other hand, in France, majority of the population constitutes citizens under 40 and are almost equally contributed by both male and female. But this trend undergoes a striking change; that is the women population is greater than men in all age group above 40.
Overall, In India, children under five is twice as much as that of France, and citizens between 65-70 age group is half as that of France.
