In my opinion, i disagree that mobile phones should be banned. Although mobile phones can turn people into anti-socialist just like smoking, mobile phones has functionalities that serves as a tool in everyday lives unlike smoking. In fact, mobile phones are able to replace a lot of devices used before. For example, mobile phones offer apps that serves different uses but works similarly to old devices such as showing the time & date currently just like a clock, taking photos for people to remember by which acts the same as a camera, used for calculating numbers which works as good as a calculator, hearing music which works as well as an MP3 playerand etc. Because of this, mobile phones have replaced a lot of technologies since all the functions are carried in one gadget.

Currently, mobile phones are used to show proof of vaccination to go to public places which is enforced by government regulations. To illustrate, Peduli Lindungi is an indonesian app which is used to access different public places by scanning through QR codes and to verify if people are able to enter or not. Because of the lockdown, people are forced to use phones to buy groceries or in other economic activities.

Overall, mobile phones shouldn't be banned in the same way as smoking. Mobile phones aren't just used for satisfaction like smoking, but it is also used as a tool in everyday lives, especially as the world is entering the digital era. In the digital era, mobile phones will be more used than before.
