Writing Task 1

Dear Lan,

Hope you are happy and doing well. I just came back from the business trip then I immediately reply to your letter which I received 3 days ago.

Regarding to your thinking of driving course. As I got it for a long time, I strongly recommend that driving licence is advantageous so that you should invest to learn. The first benefit of learning to drive is you can have fully knowledge whilst traveling. I realized this advance after I finished the course. Another one, I would say it is sooner you get a licence more experience accumulated. This offers you a discount rate when you buy a car insurance.

I know a driving school in district 10 which is very convenient as you just need to commute ten minutes from your house. Its name is Dong Tien driving school. Moreover, because I have a friend who is a teacher at that school. I am confident to introduce Dong Tien school for your consideration.

If you want to get more information about the school, please feel free to contact directly to my friend Mr. Hung 0912341234. He is very nice.

Receiving your letter, I was very glad. Let revert to me if you have any further concerns.

Task 2

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Write about the following topic:

Should long-term job seekers in receipt of government benefits be made to do voluntary work so that they give something back to the community?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

You should write at least 250 words.

As I know, in some developed countries, they have very good social welfares for unemployed persons. Long-term job seekers will receive aids of government without required works. I suppose that these people should do some voluntary works rather than they just exploit from the welfare programs. By this way, unemployed people are giving their contribution back to community, protecting society’s respect and every works contribute to individual value.

Firstly, long-term job seekers should do voluntary works so that they reflect a good attitude to the community. If people are lazy, try to exploit government benefits will not know the value of them turning down. Moreover, the look of society with persons who are seeking jobs in a long time is strictly. Voluntary works become a support to people can protect their reputation, avoiding a confusing situation later when they are asked for a job opportunity. For example, although developed countries do not require any voluntary works from people. I saw that this criterion is always in the questionnaire of many government faculties for raising a priority.

Secondly, people should keep a continuous working. It is not important which job distributing to them. Surely, values were created are great for individuals. For individuals, works will help them to improve some skills and give unemployed people many relationships. I believe that enthusiastic people will meet many good job opportunities. Furthermore, working constantly will raise people’s inspiration of job seeking. For instance, people without works in a long-term always wondering about their adaptable capacity, they fear to attend a job interview.

In conclusion, people should do voluntary works in the time they are receiving government welfares because of the responsibilities to community and development of theirs.
