Individuals can do nothing to improve the environment; only governments and large companies can make a difference. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
You should write at least 250 words.
There is no doubt that governments and large companies are the entities that lead common people and set an example for them. However, when it comes to sensitive topics like improving and taking care of the environment, I strongly believe that each and every individual is responsible for it. This essay will discuss reasons in support of this opinion.
To begin with, it is the responsibility of each citizen to take care of the environment around us. All of us are living in this world and are equally liable to protect it. There are various steps that each person can take in order to improve the environment. For instance, public transport has been built and is being made progressively but its usage can be prioritized by each one of us.
Furthermore, every citizen should pledge to not litter in public places. For instance, there are great initiatives taken by the government for maintaining cleanliness, however, it is on the people to follow and abide by these rules.
In addition, individuals can be active contributors to this society by taking care of their environment on their own level. This can be done by using recyclable materials and avoiding plastic bags and by following the suggested measure.
To conclude, governments and large companies can only preach and make people aware of the outcomes of their actions towards the environment, whereas people can practice these habits to make the world better and healthy for living.
