The line graph below shows the oil production and consumption in China between 1982 and 2006.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
You should write at least 150 words.
The graph compares the manufacturing and consumption of oil in China throughout the whole time frame. Overall, it is evident from the graph that use of the oil has increased rapidly from 1982 to 2006.
First, both production and use of oil started at the same number, i.e. 2 million barrels per day. After that, consumption has remained constant for 8 consecutive years, then it rose from 1994 to 2006, started at 3.5 million barrels in a day in 1994 followed by 4 million in 1998 and 5 million in 2002. The highest consumption was in 2006 with over 6 million barrels per day.
Interestingly though, the production rate for the initial 10 years was more than the consumption of the oil. After 1992, the consumption has exceeded the production, in 1998the production of oil was just over 3 million barrels in a day. After 1998, the trend has increased rapidly till 2006 at 3.5 million barrels, far less than utilization of the oil.

Individuals can do nothing to improve the environment; only governments and large companies can make a difference. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
You should write at least 250 words.
In this contemporary era, environment-related issues have become significant. The government has implemented various laws for the conservation of the environment. Some people believe that it is the only government that is responsible for conserving our nature and there is no role for individuals to maintain the environment. I strongly disagree with this statement and this essay will discuss my opinion.
To begin, mother earth has seen various changes in the last few decades. The only thing that is responsible for the depletion of the environment is manmade technologies. To meet the never-ending demands of the population government has established various factories that continuously emitting harmful gases into the air. Consequently, this will lead to air pollution and breathing problems. Now the question is who is responsible for this - the government or the individuals? Government alone is not responsible for this scenario as it has put forward various steps for population control but it is only up to an individual. If the citizens do not cooperate with the governmental laws, things will get worsened.
Alternatively, the government along with large MNC's has enforced different laws such as the environmental protection act, ban on plastics, etc. but there are still few people that haven't left the plastic use. They are still using plastic bags that are not only harmful to nature but also for selfless animals. Moreover, besides the sign warning where it has been mentioned that do not throw trash, people still doing that. According to my opinion, to conserve our planet all of us will join hands and follow the precautionary steps.
To conclude, I would like to reiterate that it is not only government and large companies that that are responsible for environmental conservation. But it is also a duty of people as good citizens to conserve our country and nature.
