In this pisture we can notice a difference not only in aesthetic elements that turn the new generation mobile phone more pleasant to the costumers eye. The singularities can be pointed mainly in the size and weight that are smaller in the new mobile technology, taking easier the transport and, hence, the feature "mobile" in it's name. Lighter and smaller phone with extra funcions and a more complex keyboard can be lead to anywhere and do a lot more than merely calls, which was the mainly function of the old fashioned model. In deed, the conteporary version and it's new mix of facilities became a work tool, an entreteniment extra channel besides the original phone funtion.
Moreover, the bigger scream with colour display favour this multitask skills of the new mobile phone, such as a great commmucation channel, matching in one product call and camera functions, TV and radio transmittions and all the possibilities the social medias of internet era can allow.

Criminal justice and, in a broader context, criminal policy, have evolved throughout the centuries. Hence, the same occurs to the features and functions of the penalty. In the 19 th century and before, people were suited and judged for personal features, social position, political interests and also by the fact, the crime itself commited. In this period, criminal justice turn to the person and not to the evidences and facts, becaming law suits less objetictives and more subjectives. In such context, the penalty goal was specially the punishment of the defendant. The criminal need do pay for his fault and generelly he did so with his freedom and body integrity.
Crime and pushment era was leaded by long prison sentences and even death penalty veredicts.
This scenario became to change in the twenty century with the introduction of new kinds of punishment balacend with the type of crime. In this way, high dangerous ones, such as murdering, kidnapping, rapping, terrorism and drugs dealing, have kept the pattern of longer prison sentences. But other kind of faults claim different degree of punishment to be effective.
In this matter, a new era for criminal policies emerged with a restaurative and preventive goals. Financial penalty; limits to visit some place and certainly person (in cases of family law suit or domestic violence ) or even the temporary prohibition to do some job are exemples of this new array of penalty beyond freedom loss in tradicional state prisons. We can also mention the the payment of fees and comunity services as alternative penalties.
In sum, the criminal justice realized that freedom loss penalty it's not the most effetive way to prevent or reduce some kind of crimes. And even when it is recommended, personal features of the defendant and objetive aspects of the crime demand a balacing in the period of the prision, considering the new roles played by the penalty since the twenty century.
