Overall, levels of oil production and consumption show a general increase from their almost equal starting point, with some episodes of plateau for several years in different time periods.
In 1982, oil consumption was estimated to be 2 milions barrels per day and have remained the same until 1990. Individuals can do nothing to improve the environment; only governments and large companies can make a difference. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
You should write at least 250 words.
Enviornmental changes during the last years are quite visible to all and may be the most important issue occupying govermens. However, several lifesytle changes in our lives as individulas living on earth are crucial in order to approach this issue.
The role of us, as individuals, cannot be replaced. Although big companies should be responsible for our health and sustainable hygiene in our surroundings, our cooporation is very important. In order to fullfil this aim, awarness of this strengh each person has to be knwon; recycling more, consuming less and wisely can be the first well known steps.
By saying that one cannot do nothing to improve their enviornment we risk to have an escapistic society with a very low level of morality. Thus, if every person will say that he is able to make a little difference, a big change will be seen and a better enviornment will be present both physically but also mentally at the bigger scale of humanity. A little thing can be also lift something from the groud althoguh it is not yours.
In contrast, some avoiding measures can be beneficial rather than active acts and those are usually achieved mainly by individuals. To better explain this point we can give the example of the possibility to merge orders when we order online and not order things seperately, an act that just requires not to order twice and just once. In addition, the simplest example which is just to not make any damage, to not harm our enviornment any further can be given.
To conclude, I strongly believe in the force of people as individuals in making a big change on this planet. A big difference starts with many tiny steps that we should start taking, from today.
