Oil,the black gold of Africa and the world is an importnat cash economic product for the wealth and growth of any Nation. Between year 1982-1986, the consumption and production of millions of oil barrels per day showed that there was an increased growth in Oil production in China. Albeit between 1986 and 1994, oil production was at a "marking time" error and then a progressive growth continued unitil 2006. On the other hand, while Consumption of Oil at the beginning from 1982 till 1994 showed that oil consumption was lower than Oil Production, there was a sudden rise and swift geometric progression growth in oil consumption to the extent that as at 2006, oil consumption had doubled the consumption of oil production in the millions of oil barrels per day

Individuals can do nothing to improve the environment; only governments and large companies can make a difference. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
You should write at least 250 words.
i do believe that the protection and improvement of the environment is a task for everyone in the society. whether individuals, Government, Large or small Companies, the task of protecting the flora(Plants) and fauna) animals which together make up the Environment is a task for All. In the beginning of the world, the Holy Book makes us to understand that man inherited an environment that was unspoiled. Everything the creator made was good. It is the activities of man through industralization, technology and urbanization that has now affected or negatively impacted the environmant. The effects of man's action as at today has led to the degradation of the environment. Now the Environment has not only lost its aesthetic values, all sorts of pollution is now linked to the environment. Gas flaring, bad fumes from industries, moving vehicles, toxic wastes from industries channeled into Rivers like the Ikpoba-Hill rivers from Nigerian Bottling Company(Coca-Cola) in Benin-city to mention but a few incidences of pollution are now impacting negatively to man's health and wealth. When you move around most towns and cities, the presence of dump sites can be seen everywhere. this apart from making a city loose its aesthetic value, is a breeding ground for vectors, rodents and their symbiotic relations . The health of humans are therefore greatly affected. Futhermore such dumpsites and the effect of oil spillages arising from pollution can contaminate underground water which affects the health of man. From the above little analysis, we can see that the negative impact of environmental pollution or degradation, is not a business fro only the Government but for all and sundry. All hands must be on deck to ensure an improved Environment by Individuals, Goverments and Companies through their Coporate Social Responsibility Schemes
